 The editorial team on Olly Blackburn’s new feature Donkey Punch which sails into cinemas this Friday (18/7/08) chose the light and spacious cutting rooms of Salon’s West London facility to cut what empire magazine has dubbed the ‘sexiest, most shocking thriller of the year.’ Salon equipped the rooms with an Avid Media Composer Adrenaline system for the Editor and an Avid Xpress Pro system for the assistant along with a host of VTR’s and storage solutions. Salon’s West London Suites are located just above their Support centre so on-site technical expertise is always close at hand. At the beginning low budgets meant that production had envisaged only being able to afford a single system for the editor but after discussion about their ideal workflow Salon were able to supply an additional smaller Xpress Pro system that integrated seamlessly with the main Media Composer allowing both Editor and Assistant to work independently for just a fraction more.
